‘DOUGAL’ is a homebred stallion by a horse we imported ‘Apache Spurs’ by ‘Crossdrum Spurs’ out of our Irish mare ‘Junes Lady’ by ‘Gypsy Duke’.

His sire ‘Apache Spurs’ resides in Scotland and is a thoroughly super ‘all-rounder’. He competes in Dressage, Cross-country and has over £300 in BSJA winnings.

‘Junes Lady’s’ sire is ‘Gypsy Duke’ an Irish Sports Horse and a proven sire of many good competition horses including some Advanced Eventers. His bloodlines go back to the ‘King of Diamonds’ one of the most famous sires to stand in Ireland.

Dougal is an exciting, quality Irish Sports Horse Stallion, (no foreign bloodlines) with stunning movement, presence and huge jumping ability. He throws his colour to plain or coloured mares.

He was lightly shown In-hand and he won every time out.

As a 2 year old he was presented at the SSH grading, gaining a first premium from the KWPN judges.

Then as a 4 year old he was put forward for stallion grading with the Scottish Sports Horse Society and the KWPN Stallion Inspectors gave him ‘Listed’ Status.

Unfortunately due to a covering accident, Dougal became infertile and is now only available via frozen semen.
